Finnlamelli was founded in 1995 and started manufacturing laminated log houses in Alajärvi, Finland. The name of the company was formed by combining the names of the manufacturing country and the raw material.
Although the company is still rather young its founder families have worked in wood and log house field for several generations. This knowhow shows in the stellar growth that Finnlamelli has enjoyed. Today Finnlamelli is the third biggest industrial log house manufacturer in Finland, right behind Honka and Kontio.

TIMBER FRAME HISTORY
Timber frame building is an old and tried building technique. Like the term suggests, it has been used to build frames for various dwellings. These frames have then been filled with local materials somewhere it could have been clay, somewhere grass, hay or stucco or even tiles.
