Open space has been used very lavishly in this log cottage. Classic roof shape gives the cottage a rustic image as well as protects the veranda that extends the living room and the feeling of openness.

LIVING ROOM

Living room is so huge that it covers almost all of the cottage floor area. Loft doesn't cover the living room so the feeling of space is amazing. Gable windows let lot of light inside the cottage and the ceiling seems to continue and continue. 

KITCHEN

With minor customisation, kitchen can become a space divider in this floor plan - possibly creating a longer hall area, a separate kitchen and living room or a totally open area from the main door to veranda door. Do you have some other customisation ideas for this cottage?

BATHROOM AND SAUNA

Sauna is always something that people from outside Finland ask about. Many wonder would it be possible to change the floor plan so that there is no sauna? Luckily wood is very forgiving material and we have an office full of enthusiastic designers who can turn your hopes and wishes into a working floor plan.

BALCONY

Fascinating little detail up in the loft are the double doors to the balcony. This is your gateway to carefree morning coffee high above worldly worries. Those long eaves of the roof also protect you from occasional rain. Maybe this retreat is important enough to enlarge the balcony.
